Privacy Policy

We collect as little as we can: an email address to send you your ticket, a payment handled by Stripe, and the technical details needed to show you the stream and stop tickets being shared. This page explains all of it.

2. What we collect and why

We do not run advertising, sell data, or build profiles about you. We do not collect information about your race, health, beliefs or any other special category of data.
3. Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies, so you will not see a cookie banner:
- Ticket cookie (
mgk_t_…): set when you open your watch link, so the event page recognises you and shows “You have a ticket” instead of asking you to buy again. It lasts for the replay window plus about a week. - Admin session: only on the admin pages used by MGK staff.
- Stripe: the checkout page is provided by Stripe, which sets its own cookies for fraud prevention. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/gb/privacy.
If we add analytics in future we will choose a tool that does not use cookies or track you across sites, and update this page.
4. Who we share data with
We use a small number of specialist companies to run the service. Each only receives what it needs for its job:
- Stripe (payments) — your payment and the email address you give at checkout. Stripe Payments Europe Ltd / Stripe Inc.; some processing happens in the USA under Stripe's approved safeguards.
- Resend (email delivery) — your email address and the content of the emails we send you. Processed in Ireland.
- Cloudflare (video streaming and security) — your IP address and device details when you watch, so the video can reach you from the nearest server.
- Vercel (website hosting) and Supabase (our database, hosted in London) — the records above.
Promoters whose events we stream receive sales reports showing how many tickets were sold and the money due to them. They do not receive your name, email address or any other personal details. We will disclose personal data if the law requires it, for example to a court or HMRC, or to our bank or payment provider when handling a dispute.
5. How long we keep it
- Purchase and payment records: up to 7 years, as required for tax and accounting.
- Watch logs and device data: 90 days after the replay window closes, unless needed for a dispute or investigation.
- Enquiry emails: 2 years after the last message.
- Recordings of events: deleted from our streaming service about a day after the replay window closes.
6. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your data (we may need to keep purchase records for tax, but we will remove everything else);
- restrict or object to how we use it, where we rely on legitimate interests;
- give you your data in a portable format.
Email support@mgksportsmedia.com and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
7. Security
Connections to this website are encrypted, card details never touch our servers, watch links are signed so they cannot be guessed, and only MGK staff can reach the admin pages. No system is perfectly secure, so if you think your watch link or email has been compromised, tell us and we will issue a new one.
8. Children
You must be 18 or over to buy a ticket (see our Terms & Conditions). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13 and will delete it if we learn we have.
9. Changes
We will update this page if what we collect or how we use it changes, and show the date at the top.
